Course Description

Workplace conflicts and difficult conversations have a profound impact, weighing us down, distracting us, and depleting our energy. They create negativity and can lead to isolation and a negative spiral.

Discover a transformative online program that equips participants with essential skills and strategies to effectively address workplace conflicts. In this immersive 4-day course, you will develop your own conflict and leadership philosophy, serving as a powerful foundation for navigating and responding to conflicts and challenging conversations in your professional life.

This comprehensive program is designed to promote holistic well-being and enhance proficiency in conflict resolution for individuals across all levels. With a particular focus on power dynamics, identity, and status in supervision and management, you'll gain a deeper understanding of these nuances.

Our primary objective is to empower individuals by raising awareness of their ability to create positive change in the spaces they occupy. By embracing bravery, vulnerability, and socio-cultural awareness, participants will learn to initiate and engage in difficult conversations with intention and purpose. Session Descriptions

Session I: Developing a Conflict Resolution Framework

In the workplace, it is essential to have a well-defined conflict resolution framework. This session focuses on developing a conflict philosophy that aligns with organizational values. By expanding awareness and understanding of personal conflict tendencies, participants will gain insights into effective conflict management strategies. Topics covered include addressing discomfort in difficult conversations and establishing a framework for successful resolution.

Session II: Power Dynamics and Conflict in the Workplace

Navigating power dynamics and understanding their impact on workplace conflicts is crucial for maintaining a healthy work environment. This session explores how social identities, power relationships, and status can influence conflicts. Participants will learn strategies to mitigate these effects and foster a more inclusive and equitable workplace.

Session III: Mastering Feedback in the Workplace

Giving and receiving feedback is an essential skill for professional growth and collaboration. In this session, participants will learn how to provide feedback without fear, interrupt unproductive communication patterns, and recover from difficult conversations. Active listening techniques will be emphasized, helping individuals cultivate strong relationships and increase self-awareness.

Session IV: Establishing Effective Communication Norms

Clear communication norms aligned with organizational and personal values are the foundation of a productive workplace. In this session, participants will learn to define communication boundaries, establish mechanisms for accountability, and develop a culture of repair. By creating mutual agreements, employees can foster an environment where communication is respectful, efficient, and aligned with shared goals.

A workbook covering the content of each session will be provided with final materials.
